2020 Ford F-350 Brings Pre-Collision Support To BC

Front-mounted sensors continually scan the road, assessing all conditions (including traffic speed and vehicle trajectories). When they detect a sudden change – such as an abrupt stop or an approaching pedestrian – they will send dual alerts: one to the driver via the central console and another to the braking system as a preemptive warning.

The driver will be told through audio and visual cues to reduce speed. Should he fail to do so in a proper amount of time, however, the ABS system will engage – automatically slowing the F-350 and avoiding a sudden collision. Through this safety is assured, with Pre-Collision Support helping to maintain appropriate distance between obstacles.
