2021 Ford F-150 Offers V8 Power To BC Canada

Change isn’t always welcome within the commercial market – which is why Ford is continuing its tradition of potent performance for 2021. Though the new F-150 boasts an available PowerBoost Hybrid engine suite, the Big Blue Oval insists that V8 fans will still achieve the all-terrain strength they’ve come to expect.

Offered on the 2021 F-150 is a 5.0L Ti-VCT V8. This engine – which features an aluminum construction, allowing it to improve heat responses and reduce the chance of sudden temperature spikes – is a robust option for BC. It generates up to 400 HP (at 6,000 RPMs) and 410 lb.-ft of torque (at 4,250 RPMs); while a 10-speed automatic transmission bolsters performance through its integrated overdrive functions. An electronic control system assures seamless sequencing, and variable displacement technology promotes superior control over cylinders (delivering a custom power-band). 

Additionally, Ford has paired the F-150’s V8 engine suite with auto start-stop functionality – allowing it to shut down the block when idling. Through this, improved efficiency is assured: reducing overall fuel usage by an estimated 5%.
