Rumbling underneath the hood is a 2.7-litre Ecoboost V6 motor. Mated with a smooth-shifting 10-speed automatic transmission, it generates 325 hp and 400 lb-ft of torque. Thanks to the port-fuel and direct-injection technology, this twin-turbocharged powertrain provides plenty of strength for light-duty jobs. Meanwhile, the dual overhead cam design is paired with the same compacted graphite iron that the larger 6.7-litre Power Stroke Turbo Diesel uses.

You can also expect to enjoy a very good fuel economy with the Lariat model. In the city, it gets about 12.0 L/100 km. On the highway, it does even better with an estimate of 9.3 L/100 km. That translates to a combined rating of 10.8 L/100 km. That is for the 4×2 version. However, the 4×4 F-150 Lariat delivers 12.8 L/100 km in the city and 10.0L/100 km on the highway.
