The 2022 Ford F-150 Lightning brings electric performance to more than just the highways in BC. This pickup truck can also provide backup power to your whole home, as well.

The all-electric Lightning can also be equipped with the available Ford Intelligent Backup Power system and an extended-range battery. This combination provides up to three days of electricity (at 30 kWh per day) to a home and a maximum of ten days if you ration your usage—thanks to the fact it can deliver up to 9.6 kW of peak energy.

Plus, the system is automatic, so if the grid goes down in BC, Ford Intelligent Backup Power kicks in by itself. Then once it comes back, the truck will go back to recharging its batteries with no input required from you.
