Rumbling underneath the hood is a third-generation 3.5-litre Ecoboost High-Output V6 engine. Bolstered with turbochargers, it churns out a staggering 450 hp and 510 lb-ft of torque. It is also fitted with a high-intensity cooling system to prevent overheating while off-roading.

The Raptor is also equipped with Fox Live Valve Internal Bypass Shocks. Coined as Fox Racing Shox, they use electronic control technology and position-sensitive damping to soak up the impact of jagged terrain. Crafted from anodized aluminum, they are filled with low friction fluid for enhanced comfort from inside the cabin. This upgraded design also allows for up to 453 kg (1,000 lbs) of damping per corner in the desert.

As for the rear suspension, it is an updated 5-link unit with a Panhard Rod and extra-long trailing arms. This provides the appropriate axle positioning, and the 24-inch coil springs are the longest in this segment. Essentially, this mechanism can be more responsive without compromising on stability or handling.
