2022 Ford Mustang Mach 1 SOS Post-Crash Alert System in Hedley

Ford is constantly looking for new ways to make its vehicles more autonomous and keep drivers safer, and the company’s upcoming 2022 Mustang Mach 1 will include a few new features that will accomplish just that. The SOS Post-Crash Alert System protects against typical accidents by alerting drivers if they are about to drive into trouble. This is accomplished by monitoring the driver’s behavior while behind the wheel.
The system monitors the roadway in front of the vehicle using sensors and cameras. It alerts the driver if they are likely to collide with another vehicle or object on the road, and visual and auditory warnings will be issued to the driver. It will apply the emergency brakes just before the crash if there is still time.
The SOS, Post-Crash Alert System, works in tandem with Ford’s new Active Blind Spot Assist feature, which uses radar technology to detect large cars lurking in blind spots during lane changes and automatically adjusts the vehicle’s steering angle to avoid colliding with them. This feature is helpful for inexperienced drivers who are likely to be distracted and not notice other vehicles on the road.
