The interior of the Escape has a classy look to it, and it offers plenty of legroom in both the front and back seats. Even if there are some plastic, low-rent panels in the lower-end trims, the ST-Line and Platinum variants of the Escape look and feel more luxurious than the other trim levels.
Standard upholstery for the seats is a textured cloth, while the Platinum variant comes standard with seating surfaces that look and feel like genuine imitation leather. A spacious cargo hold can be found behind the rear seats of the Escape. This hold has room for as many as eight carry-on bags, which is the same amount of space as its cross-town competitor, the Chevrolet Equinox.
When the rear seats of the Escape were folded down, you can fit 21 carry-on cases – two fewer than the Equinox.
Every single model of the Ford Escape comes equipped with Ford’s exclusive package of driver assistance capabilities, which the company refers to as Co-Pilot360. The key safety and driver assistance features include: Forward-collision warning (standard) with automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning (standard) with lane-keep assist, and blind-spot monitoring (standard) with rear cross-traffic alert.
