The (NHTSA) National Highway Traffic Safety Administration was awarded the 2023 Mustang coupe with five stars out of a possible five for its overall safety, as well as five stars for its performance in the frontal crash, side crash, and rollover tests. Although the 2023 Ford Mustang has not been put through comprehensive testing, it did earn a perfect score in the rollover evaluation.
The standard 2023 Ford Mustang driver-assistance features include MyKey (allows you to perform functions like setting audio volume and speed limit for drivers other than yourself), lane-keep assist, lane-departure alert, rear cross-traffic alert, blind-spot monitoring, pedestrian detection, automatic forward emergency braking, forward collision warning, and a rearview camera.
The optional 2023 Ford Mustang driver-assistance features include rear parking sensors and adaptive cruise control.
The warranty on the Mustang is adequate but not exceptional. Ford does not offer a complimentary visit for regularly scheduled maintenance – in contrast to Chevy.
The limited warranty is good for 36,000 miles or three years; the power-train warranty is good for 60,000 miles or five years; and no free scheduled maintenances are available.
