Throughout the course of over five decades, Ford has been working to make the Mustang a more refined horse at every opportunity. This version comes equipped as standard with a six-speed manual transmission and an inline-four turbocharged EcoBoost engine that produces 310 horsepower. While the pony car can become as wild as the 760-horsepower Shelby GT500, the Mustang GT containing the 450-horsepower V-8 engine tends to be the more typical choice. A manual six-speed transmission or an automatic ten-speed transmission can be paired with either the four-cylinder or the V-8 engine. The rear wheels are driven in every Mustang model, regardless of whether the vehicle is a hard-top coupe or a convertible with a convertible top. Even if a high-performance 330-horsepower EcoBoost is an upgrade that can be added to the four-cylinder, the snarling V-8 is the most suitable option for the Mustang.
The Mustang is easier to live with than its closest muscular competitor, the Chevy Camaro because it has better outward visibility and a wider back seat. That said, the Camaro’s interior is more ergonomic.
