Better Braking is Yours in BC with the 2021 Ford Expedition

Stopping a car might seem simple, but the advanced technology included in the 2021 Ford Expedition Platinum MAX’s Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD) system takes ABS to the next level. Using the SUV’s yaw sensors as well as speed and steering angle monitoring, it can respond dynamically to shifting conditions in BC.

For example, if you take a corner too fast and under-steer, causing the SUV to continue heading straight, EBD can apply the brakes dynamically on each tire to enhance grip and regain control. That way, no wheel experiences a lighter load, allowing ABS to work more effectively.

Furthermore, EBD responds to conditions inside too. If there’s lots of cargo in the trunk, for instance, it can modulate ABS accordingly to avoid loss of control during stops. You also get a more sure-footed grip on slippery surfaces because addressing each wheel individually helps prevent skidding.
