If you are looking for something fun to do this coming summer, then you should consider the 3rd Annual Track Day. Hosted by Skaha Ford at Area 27 in Oliver, BC, this event promises to be exhilarating!
What makes this particular circuit stand out from other facilities is that it was designed by professional racecar drivers, and it is built into the natural terrain instead of over it. This means that there are a total of 16 turns that vary in elevation. Meanwhile, the pristine straightaways are long enough to really pick up some serious speed.
The brainchild of champion Jacques Villeneuve, the course took seven months to build. It is 4.3 km (3 miles) in length, and it is 12.2 meters (40 feet) wide. There is plenty of space for the vehicles to show off. The longest straight is 80 meters (0.5 miles), and you can practice a 20 percent (11 degrees) carousel braking on Turn 7.
If you want something a bit more winding, then you can also give the Kart Circuit a try. It is 1.21 km (0.75 miles), and it has 20 corners to go around.
