Ford SYNC 4 offers increased personalization and customization, so you can tailor your experience to suit your needs. For example, if you have an upcoming appointment on your calendar, SYNC 4 will remind you when you start your vehicle or are on the way. Or, if someone else is driving your car, SYNC 4 will remember their preferences and automatically configure itself when they get behind the wheel.
SYNC 4 also offers a range of customizations that go beyond audio and climate controls. You can customize certain functions to perform actions based on specific situations or conditions – for example, when you enter or exit a parking spot or cross into a geo-fenced area such as school or work zones. The new system also has a “My Favorites” feature that lets you choose five apps or functions that are most important to you, so they are always available on one screen rather than having to search through multiple screens for them. Moreover, if you have a unique ringtone or alarm sound saved on your phone, you can access it through the infotainment system.
