Ford SYNC 4 has been a significant step forward for Ford’s infotainment system. The new version of the tech has been out for a while now and comes with some new features, including split-screen display capability. This mode allows you to display two apps simultaneously in an overlapping format. One app will be shown on top, while the other is shown on the bottom. This allows you to view information from two sources simultaneously without having to switch back and forth between them.
For example, you can look up directions on Google Maps while simultaneously listening to music via Apple Music or Spotify. You could also use it to watch video while driving or check your rearview camera while backing up. This feature can be handy when you need directions or want to switch between apps on your phone quickly.
The new split-screen feature is easier to use than the current multitasking feature, which requires you to swipe through menus to get where you want to go. You can now tap an icon and drag it into the upper or lower portion of the display. In addition, you can also resize each app window by dragging a corner. Moreover, Ford’s SYNC 4 system also boasts faster response times and app loading times. To learn more about the split-screen feature upgrade, connect with our experts at Skaha Ford.
