Ford is set to debut the all-new 2021 F-150 this fall. This time around, the Big Blue Oval really focused on functional additions and refinements, prioritizing substance over style—after all, this is a utility-focused machine. And we have to say, with new features such as the Pro Power Onboard generator, it seems they’ve knocked it out of the park.
There are three Pro Power Onboard generator systems available on the all-new F-150. The base system offers 2.0 kW of electrical capacity and is featured on gas-only F-150s. The all-new Hybrid truck comes with a standard 2.4-kW capacity; both the aforementioned standard setups come with twin 120-volt outlets. The 2.0 kW system alone can handle powering a TV, portable speakers, mini-fridge, blender, and electric heater simultaneously.
The hybrid 2021 F-150 also provides the option of an available 7.2 kW Pro Power Onboard variant. This beast comes with four 120-volt plugs and one 240-volt outlet, and can power items such as a TiG welder, chop saw, air compressor, plasma cutter, and more, all at the same time.
