Those aware of the Bronco’s venerable history know that the classic vehicle—last seen in 1996—only officially came in a two-door variant. Blessedly, that’s no longer the case, as the Big Blue Oval is set to take the plunge with the exciting new 2021 four-door Bronco early next year. And boy, does this fresh take on the North American icon dazzle with power and performance.

The first thing you need to know about the 2021 four-door Bronco is that it comes with a solid axle rear implementation with coil springs, complete with five locating links. For some of you, that may be a bit of a word jumble, but just know that it makes the machine even better at what it’s supposed to do—gifting the driver supreme control even on rough trails. Also, there’s a standard independent front suspension.

The engine at the heart of this burly Bronco is a 2.3-liter EcoBoost unit that kicks out 270 horses and 310 lb.-ft of torque—and that’s the standard configuration. You can also opt for a spectacular 2.7-liter EcoBoost V6 that generates 310 HP and 400 lb.-ft. of torque.
