2021 F-250 Super Duty models offer three powertrain choices with standard rear-wheel drive or available four-wheel drive. The base engine is a 6.2L gasoline V8 that produces 385 hp and 430 lb.-ft. of torque that’s connected to a smooth-shifting six-speed automatic transmission. However, upgrading to the 7.3L gasoline V8 gets 430 hp and 475 lb.-ft. of torque and uses an upgraded 10-speed automatic transmission.

For fleets with high towing needs, the Power Stroke turbodiesel 6.7L V8 is an obvious choice. This engine sends 475 hp and a massive 1,050 lb.-ft. of torque through a 10-speed automatic transmission. Regular cab models with rear-wheel drive can pull 6,894.6 kg (15,200 lbs.) when properly equipped.
