The 2021 Ford F-350 Delivers Adaptive Steering to Westbank

May 25,2022

With the release of the 2021 F-350 – available at Skaha Ford in BC – the Super Duty has gained an all-new feature that makes it easier for commercial fleet operators to maneuver around the job site and beyond.

Known as Adaptive Steering, this system helps drivers operate the truck at low speeds while enjoying agile steering at higher clips. It works by changing the ratio between the driver’s actions at the steering wheel and how much the front wheels turn. For example, when pulling into a parking space or navigating through tight areas, Adaptive Steering uses fewer steering wheel turns. At highway speeds, the system ensures smooth steering responses and faster inputs. This performance is the opposite of fixed steering ratio, which many medium-duty trucks offer.

With Adaptive Steering, your commercial fleet benefits from optimized driving responses in all conditions, providing a more responsive behind the wheel experience. It also limits driver fatigue, which is essential to your crews’ safety and overall productivity.

The 2021 F-350’s Adaptive Steering is part of the Super Duty’s Ford Co-Pilot360 Technology and comes standard on the Limited trim and is optional on the Lariat, King Ranch and Platinum models.

To experience this feature for yourself, schedule a test drive in a 2021 F-350 at Shaka Ford. Don’t forget that our Service Department also offers medium-duty truck repairs, maintenance and modification to BC commercial fleets. Discover more today!
