The 2021 Ford F-350 Encourages Responsible Driving in BC

Promote good driving habits with your crew with the 2021 F-350, which is available now at Skaha Ford in BC. This Super Duty comes equipped with a MyKey system, which allows fleet owners to program the truck’s key with restricted driving modes while your employees are on the road.

Ford’s MyKey technology is a popular feature with parents of young drivers, but it’s also ideal for commercial fleets. Programming the key is easy to do using the vehicle’s message centre, where you can choose your preferred driving settings, which include:

 
Seat belt reminders: This feature emits a six-second reminder chime every 30 seconds and mutes the audio system until all front passengers fasten their seat belts. The message centre also displays “Buckle Up to Unmute Radio” on the screen.

Top speed settings: MyKey can limit a vehicle’s top speed at four different settings (105, 115, 120 or 130 km/h). Chimes provide an early warning as the F-350 gains speed.

Earlier low-fuel warning: MyKey provides an alarm at 120 km to empty, rather than the standard 80-km warning.

Driving aid deactivation: Safety features, such as parking assistance, traction control and blind-spot monitoring with cross-traffic alert, cannot be deactivated. 

Audio volume: Audio volume can be restricted up to 44 percent.
