BC commercial operators experience all types of road conditions – from slippery snow and ice and wet roads to gravel, dirt, sand and other surfaces. Unfortunately, driving in these treacherous conditions is not only challenging but dangerous too. Ford has a solution to this problem with the release of the 2021 F-350 and its standard AdvanceTrac with Roll Stability Control system.
AdvanceTrac is an electronic stability system that ensures driver control over the vehicle in difficult conditions, especially on terrain with ice, snow, gravel and even dry pavement. This technology is designed to improve traction by increasing friction over these surfaces, thereby improving resistance to prevent slippage or out-of-control steering.
AdvanceTrac with Roll Stability Control uses small gyroscopic sensors that take readings of the 2021 F-350’s roll rate and vehicle roll motion at least 100 times per second. When wheel slippage is detected in these readings, the system slows down the engine to stabilize the truck. So even when the weather is terrible, and road conditions become unfavourable, you’ll have complete peace of mind that the 2021 F-350’s AdvanceTrac with Roll Stability Control will keep all four wheels firmly planted.
