2022 Ford F-150 Lightning Hauls Heavy Loads in BC

Although the new 2022 Ford F-150 Lightning is a fully-electric pickup, that does not impede its ability to haul like a champion. Thanks to its 4×4 drivetrain and robust output, it can churn out 563 hp and 775 lb-ft of torque. With the standard configuration, it can haul up to 3,493 kg of added weight. However, adding the Max Trailer Tow Package and the extended-range battery will ramp this number up to 4,536 kg – a performance output that exceeds even the conventional F-150. It can also be geared with features like Pro Trailer Hitch Assist and Trailer Reverse Guidance for further ease.
Ecoboost Engine – Maximum Towing Capacity
Ford’s EcoBoost engines stand out in the auto industry. Every one of the F-150 EcoBoost engine’s trio has impressive towing capability thanks to the inclusion of twin turbochargers and Ford’s direct and port fuel injection technology. For a comparison between the 2.7L EcoBoost and the 3.5L EcoBoost and the high-output 3.5L EcoBoost engines, please refer to the information below:
- The 2.7L EcoBoost V6 engine has a maximum towing capacity of 10,000 lbs.

You should probably choose the Max Trailer Tow Package if you want to get the most out of your new F-150 truck. To make your next hauling operation less of a hassle, the Max Trailer Tow Package includes all of the jacked-up mechanical parts, sophisticated trailer systems, and essential trailer equipment.
The requirements for the Max Trailer Tow Package are the 3.5L PowerBoost, 5.0L V8, or the 3.5L EcoBoost (if you are using the XL Trim, you will also need the Heavy-Duty Payload Package).
The Max Trailer Tow Package is available for the Platinum, King Ranch, LARIAT, XLT, and XL trims.
The package includes a seven-pin/four-pin wiring harness; an electronic-locking 3.55 rear axle (you can also get the 3.73 version if you order it with the Heavy-Duty Payload Package); 36-gallon tank of fuel (this is not available with the 3.5L PowerBoost); trailer hitch Class IV receiver; smart trailer tow connector, Pro Trailer Backup Assist (this is not available with the XL 100A, and XL 101A users can only get this if they have the Tow Technology); imp
2022 Ford Maverick Impresses Drivers in BC

As a hybrid pickup, the new 2022 Ford Maverick operates on clean energy while still providing plenty of towing capability for everyday demands. Its powertrain is a potent combination of an electric motor and a fuel-efficient 2.5-litre four-cylinder gasoline engine. Together, they deliver 191 hp and 155 lb-ft of torque. This translates to a maximum hauling limit of 907 kg. If you opt for the available 2.0-litre Ecoboost version with the 4K Tow Package, however, this will push the output to 1,814 kg – allowing BC drivers to effortlessly accommodate their all-terrain cargo.
Ford Maverick Towing Capability
Your 2022 Ford Maverick’s towing capability is based on a number of different elements. First, pick an engine for your 2022 Ford Maverick. This pickup is groundbreaking since it is the first in its segment to include a full hybrid system as standard equipment.
A 2.5-liter inline-four and a 94-kW Ford in-house E_Motor make up the basic hybrid power-train. They combine for a total of 155 pound-feet torque and 191 horsepower, and they achieve remarkable fuel economy (up to 42 miles-per-gallon city and 33 miles-per-gallon highway, according to the EPA).
The 2.0-liter four-cylinder EcoBoost® turbocharged is the second option. In front-wheel drive configuration, the EPA estimates fuel economy of up to 23 mpg city/30 mpg highway1 with this engine’s dynamic 250 horsepower/ 277 lb-ft of torque.
The 2022 Ford Maverick’s towing capability is also influenced by the vehicle’s drive configuration. While the normal hybrid system is only offered with FWD, the EcoBoost® engine variant may be had with either FWD or AWD and allows for a maximum towing capability of 2,000 pounds.
Towing Package
Ford Mavericks have a 4.2-liter V6 engine and an AWD configuration, and you can choose a 4K Towing Package if you want to haul really big loads. The maximum trailer weight that the 2022 Ford Maverick can pull with this system is 4,500 pounds.
To better manage the weight of the trailer, this package equips the vehicle with a harness and seven-pin connector, trailer hitch receiver, class III hitch, a new axle ratio, and an auxiliary gearbox oil cooler.
The question is, what can this high tow rating pull? Different loads need different towing capacities, but in general, a vehicle with a 4,000-pound towing capacity will be able to carry: a utility trailer, jet-ski, fishing boat (fiberglass-hulled), camper (A-frame), teardrop camper, popup camper, pair of motorcycles, single or a pair of ATVs
2022 Ford F-250 Brings Super-Duty Towing to BC

If you’re in need of a heavy-duty pickup, then the 2022 Ford F-250 is the ideal choice. It can be fitted with one of three different V8 engines, including a segment-shattering diesel unit. The towing limits will vary depending on the motor, body style, and added packages. However, you can expect a maximum capacity between 5,896 to 9,071 kg, assuring seamless cargo domination. These trucks can also be equipped with advanced hauling features such as a trailer brake controller, the Trailer Tow Camera System, and Pro-Trailer Backup Assist – affording BC drivers superior control over every payload.
Towing Capability
The Ford F-250 is a durable and heavy-duty pickup truck that can pull a significant amount of weight and haul a lot of it. If your 2022 Ford Super Duty F-250 is fully outfitted, it has a maximum towing capacity of 22,800 pounds, which gives you the confidence to take on even the most challenging construction sites.
Ford mandates the use of trailer brakes for any trailer weighing 1,500 pounds or more. These brakes must function independently of the braking system on your truck to successfully stop the additional weight of the trailer. Because the brakes on your truck are not powerful enough to stop the truck’s weight, plus whatever you wish to pull behind it, you will need to find another technique to slow down to avoid hitting an obstacle.
There are three different powertrain options available to choose from with the 2022 models. The capacity ratings for the 6.7-liter engine begin at 14,000 pounds and increase from there, beginning at a low figure and continuing up to the highest rating of 22,800 pounds. Towing capability ranges from 13,500 to 19,500 pounds with the 7.3-liter engine. When compared to the other two engines, the capacity range of the 6.2 L engines is far milder, ranging from a low of 12,200 pounds to a high of just 15,800 pounds. This is in contrast to the other two engines.
The axle ratio you select for your trailer is, however, of even greater significance than the engine you have placed in it. The difference is due to the vehicle’s axle ratio and whether or not a tow package was fitted, both of which significantly boost the figures. The ratio of the axles is what determines the difference.
Packages
The XL and the XLT are the two different trim levels available for the 2022 Ford Super Duty F-250. The XL comes standard with brilliant chromed hub covers, chrome center ornaments, chromed front and rear bumpers, and a chromed tailgate handle. In addition, the XL features side steps that facilitate easy entry to the cabin. Alternatively, you can customize your truck by choosing from a variety of various trim levels.
For instance, the XLT includes all of the features that are included in the standard trim, in addition to a reverse detecting system, automatic locking and unlocking doors, a SecuriCode security system that protects you from unwelcome intruders, a 9,900 GVWR downgrade package, and a driver’s seat that reclines in eight different ways, as well as all of the features that are included in the standard trim. In addition, beginning in 2022, XLT trim levels will be eligible to choose the incredibly desirable black aesthetic package. One of the available packages on XL and XLT models includes typical features, such as a downgrade package with a GVWR of 9,900 pounds.
